Fabric softener left in compartment

There is fabric softener left behind in the detergent drawer of the washing machine. Water is used to flush powdered and liquid products through during dispensing. It is normal for a small amount of residual water to be left behind in the fabric softener compartment.

The fabric softener is very thick or clumpy.

Unlike detergent, fabric softener has a shelf life of 2 years.

If the fabric softener is very thick or clumpy, this means it is too old. This out-of-date fabric softener should no longer be used.

Remove the remaining fabric softener from the fabric softener compartment within the detergent drawer.

Clean the siphon and fabric softener channel thoroughly.

The fabric softener compartment is dirty.

Pull out the detergent drawer until a resistance is felt.

Press the release catch.

Clean the detergent drawer with warm water.

Liquid starch can cause deposits and blockages.

Clean the siphon and fabric softener channel thoroughly after using liquid starch a few times.

Pull the siphon out of the fabric softener compartment.

Rinse the siphon thoroughly under warm running water.

Clean the siphon tube as well.

Clean the fabric softener channel with a brush and warm water.

The detergent drawer casing is dirty.

Use a bottle brush to remove detergent residue and limescale from the nozzles inside the detergent drawer.

The water connection pressure is too low.

Clean the water inlet filter.

Select a program that uses more water (Water plus).

The washing machine is not aligned correctly.

The washing machine must stand perfectly level on all 4 feet to ensure safe and proper operation.

The 4 adjustable screw feet are used to level the washing machine. All of the feet are screwed in when the machine is delivered.
