Light at front/dark at back

The food is too lightly browned at the front in the area of the oven door or too darkly browned at the back in the area of the back wall.

The oven door does not close properly.

Carry out the following steps once the oven has cooled down completely:

Check that the door is properly positioned on its hinges and that the lock is in the correct position.

Check whether the seal is positioned properly all the way around (for further details, see the operating instructions).

For this reason, it is best to clean the seal every time the oven is used using a clean sponge and warm water with a little liquid dish soap or with a damp microfiber cloth.

Wipe the seal dry using a soft cloth.

If the door seal is brittle, cracked, or badly worn, contact Miele Service.

The food has been placed on the incorrect shelf level.

Use the shelf level that is best suited for the food and the operating mode according to the cooking chart. You can find the cooking chart in the “Notes on use” booklet or in the operating instructions.

The Rapid PreHeat function has been used.

Do not use the Rapid PreHeat function again if this problem occurs. This allows you to achieve an even cooking result, especially for more delicate baked goods such as cookies. Also turn off the catalyzer.
