The soiling present on the cooktop or under the cookware before cooking has burnt on during the cooking process.
Removing light soiling
Clean the entire glass-ceramic surface of the cooktop with a damp, soft all-purpose cloth and a solution of warm water and a little liquid dish soap. Please follow the cleaning agent manufacturer’s instructions.

Removing stubborn soiling
Remove any coarse soiling with a damp all-purpose cloth and more stubborn soiling with a glass scraper.
Clean the glass-ceramic surface with the Miele ceramic and stainless steel cleaner, with a proprietary glass-ceramic cleaner, or scouring liquid. Please follow the cleaning agent manufacturer’s instructions.
Soak heavily soiled areas with scouring liquid for 15 minutes.
Clean the affected areas with a cleaning sponge with a soft scouring side (1) for 2–5 minutes.
Removing very stubborn soiling
Soak the heavily soiled areas with scouring liquid for 15 minutes.
Clean the affected areas with a cleaning sponge with a soft scouring side (1) for 2–5 minutes.
If any residue remains, repeat the process up to 3 times.
In extreme cases, use a cleaning sponge with a hard scouring side (2).
In the event of extreme soiling, use a strong alkaline oven cleaner or grill cleaner suitable for cooktops. Leave the cleaning agent to work for at least 30 minutes.
Finishing the cleaning process
Remove all cleaning agent residues with a damp all-purpose cloth.
Dry the glass-ceramic surface of the cooktop after cleaning.
Unsuitable cleaning agents
To avoid damaging the surfaces of the appliance, do not use:
cleaning agents containing soda, ammonia, acids, or chloride
stain or rust removers
powder cleaners and cream cleaners
cleaning agents containing solvents
dishwasher cleaning agents
hard, abrasive brushes
eraser sponges
