(grease filter) sensor control lights up

The  (grease filter) sensor control lights up.

The grease filter must be cleaned.

Clean the grease filter and cover grille as follows:

  • Risk of damage to the cover grille.

Pull the cover grille vertically out of the top of the KMDA.

  • Take hold of the cover grille in the center of the bars.

  • Pull the cover grille vertically upward.

  • Carefully remove the grease filter using the recessed grips (1). Ensure that you do not tilt the grease filter.

  • Pour out any liquid which has collected at the bottom of the grease filter.

Cleaning the grease filter and cover grille by hand:

  • Clean the cover grille and the grease filter with a soft nylon brush in a mild solution of hot water and liquid dish soap. Do not use concentrated dish soap.

Cleaning the grease filter and cover grille in the dishwasher:

  • Place the cover grille upright in the lower basket.

  • Place the grease filter in the lower basket with its base facing upward. Ensure the spray arm is not obstructed.

  • Use a commonly available household dishwasher detergent.

  • Select a dishwasher program with a maximum wash temperature of:

    • 55°C for the cover grille

    • 65°C for the grease filter

Depending on the detergent used, cleaning the grease filter in a dishwasher may cause the inside filter surfaces to become discolored. However, this will not affect the functioning of the grease filter in any way.

Reinsert the grease filter and reattach the cover grille.

Reset the operating hours counter by pressing the  sensor control for 3 seconds.
