The brew unit filter is blocked.
Remove the brew unit from the coffee machine to clean the brew unit. Proceed as follows:
Fold out both tabs on the right-hand side of the coffee machine.
Turn the tabs 90° to the right.
Open the door.
Press the button on the bottom of the handle of the brew unit; see (1) in Fig. 1.
Whilst doing so, turn the handle to the left; see (2) in Fig. 1.
Carefully pull the brew unit out of the coffee machine.
If you cannot remove the brew unit or can only do so with difficulty, the brew unit is not in the correct position.
Once you have removed the brew unit, do not change the position of the handle on the brew unit. This will cause the brew unit to be out of alignment and it will not fit back into the coffee machine.
Clean the brew unit. Proceed as follows: Only clean the brew unit by hand with warm water. Do not use any cleaning agents. The moving parts of the brew unit are lubricated. Cleaning agents will damage the brew unit.
Clean the brew unit by hand under warm running water without using cleaning agent.
Wipe any remaining ground coffee from the filters with your fingers.
One filter is located in the funnel (see Fig. 2) and the other to the left of the funnel (see Fig. 2).
Dry the funnel (see Fig. 2) to prevent ground coffee sticking to it the next time a coffee is made.
Clean the interior of the coffee machine.
Use your vacuum cleaner to remove any dry ground coffee in the coffee machine.
To replace the brew unit, repeat the previous steps in the reverse order.
Slide the brew unit back into the coffee machine, ensuring it remains straight.
Press the button on the bottom of the handle of the brew unit; see (1) in Fig. 3. While doing so, turn the handle to the right; see (2) in Fig. 3.
Close the door.
Turn both tabs 90° to the left.
Fold the tabs back in again.
