Milk froth poor or spits

The milk froth is poor or spits even though the milk pipework is clean and the milk temperature is > 48°F (9°C).

The connecting piece for the milk pipework has not been inserted correctly.

If the connecting piece is not inserted correctly, air ingress occurs. This makes the temperature too high and causes the milk froth to spit.

Remove the stainless steel trim to check whether the connecting piece has been inserted correctly.

Insert the connecting piece correctly.

The milk system has not been sufficiently cleaned.

The milk pipework is clogged with dried milk deposits.

Clean the milk system at least once a week.

Make sure you follow the operating instructions.

Also clean the milk system parts in the dishwasher from time to time.

Or soak all parts, especially the silicone plug, overnight in warm water and a little liquid dish soap once a week.

Rinse all parts under running water.

Make sure there are no milk residues left on the individual parts before reinstalling them all.

The silicone plug is damaged or the balls are missing.

The silicone plug contains 2 white balls which are essential to the functioning of the milk system.

Pointed objects such as needles or cleaning brushes may damage the silicone plug and the balls inside. The silicone plug may stop working. Do not use pointed objects such as needles or cleaning brushes to clean the silicone plug. Be sure to remove the silicone plug before cleaning the rinse valve body with a cleaning brush or similar utensil. Do not move or remove the white balls in the silicone plug.
