Why is it not possible to set a temperature in the Eco 40–60 program?
It is not possible to set the temperature on the washing machine/washer-dryer and in the Miele app in the Eco 40–60 program.
To achieve optimal energy and water consumption and the best possible wash result, the temperature in the Eco 40–60 program is automatically adjusted to the load size.
On some washing machines/washer-dryers, both 100°F and 140°F (40°C and 60°C) can be selected in the Eco 40–60 program. In the Miele app, it is not possible to select the temperatures. If the temperature is selected on the washing machine/washer-dryer, the Eco 40–60 program is no longer used for washing. Invalid test programs Normal or Normal are now being started. In the Miele app, it is not possible to select the test programs.
The Eco 40–60 program is a specially developed program that is prescribed in the EU Ecodesign Directive for washing machines. Mixed cottons that are suitable for washing at 100°F to 140°F (40°C to 60°C) can be washed together. The Eco 40–60 program is the most efficient in terms of energy and water consumption for washing cottons.
See “Consumption data” in the operating instructions for more information about the temperatures in the Eco 40–60 program.
If you need to wash cottons at a higher temperature, use the Normal program, e.g., where a higher degree of cleanliness is required.
Consult the operating instructions for further information.
