Tumble Dryer

Rolling bars in display

Rolling bars appear in the tumble dryer display.

A cooling phase takes place at the end of a drying process. This is indicated by rolling bars in the display.

The cooling phase consists of 2 steps:

  • Depending on the tumble dryer model, an initial cooling phase is performed, the length of which is adjusted automatically or – in the case of some tumble dryers – is determined by a programmable time.

  • This may be followed by an additional comfort cooling phase. The comfort cooling phase ends as soon as the drying air in the tumble dryer has dropped to below 130°F (55°C).

  • This step may take more than 1 hour under adverse installation and temperature conditions.

No remedy necessary. During the cooling phase, the laundry can be removed at any time. As the laundry will still be quite hot, it should be spread out and left to cool further in room air.
