Grounds container contains lots of water
The grounds container of the coffee machine contains an unusually large amount of water.
The sealing ring on the connecting piece between the brew unit and coffee outlet is missing or damaged.
The part that connects the brew unit and the coffee outlet is located on the inside of the appliance door and features a sealing ring (see figure).
Replace the sealing ring. A new sealing ring is included with every new coffee machine as a replacement. You can reorder a new sealing ring from Miele Customer Service if necessary.
To prevent future damage to the sealing ring, clean the connecting piece regularly with a damp cloth, taking care not to wipe the grease off the seal.
Grease the sealing ring once a month using the grease included in the coffee machine packaging. You can reorder this grease directly from Miele Customer Service.
The brew unit is defective.
