Brew unit handle not locking

Make sure that the handle is positioned correctly.

Press the button on the bottom of the brew unit handle (1). While doing so, turn the handle forward (2).

Slide the brew unit into the coffee machine as far as it will go.

• Make sure that the brew unit is pushed over the retainer (3) and clicks into place.

If necessary, push the brew unit in firmly until the brew unit is right up against the housing panel and the drive.

Press the button on the bottom of the brew unit handle (1). While doing so, turn the handle backward (2).

Remove any coffee residues from the guides by wiping them toward the drip cover lid.

Use a damp cloth for this.

Lubricate the connection/drive shaft of the brew unit with silicone grease.

You can order the silicone grease in the Miele online store in the “Appliance cleaning and care products” section under “silicone grease” or via Miele Service, “silicone grease material number 05132001.”
