Canister Vacuum Cleaner

Vacuum cleaner switches itself off/“!” symbol lights up

The vacuum cleaner switches itself off automatically. The “!” symbol lights up on some vacuum cleaner models. A temperature limiter switches the vacuum cleaner off if it gets too hot.

The airways are blocked.

A temperature limiter switches the vacuum cleaner off automatically if it gets too hot. The fault can occur if the airways are blocked by bulky objects.

Switch the vacuum cleaner off using the On/Off footswitch.

Remove the electrical plug from the socket.

Disassemble the floorhead, hose, handle, and telescopic wand.

You can carefully push coarse particles which are jammed in the hose or in the telescopic wand toward the floorhead using a long object (e.g., a broom handle).

Items causing a blockage are usually easy to shake out of the handle.

After removing the cause of the fault, wait for approximately 30 minutes to allow the vacuum cleaner to cool down. It can then be turned on again.

The FilterBag or dust container is full and/or the filters are clogged.

A temperature limiter switches the vacuum cleaner off automatically if it gets too hot. The fault can occur if a full FilterBag/dust container and clogged filters impede the optimum discharge of air from the vacuum cleaner.

Switch the vacuum cleaner off using the On/Off footswitch.

Remove the electrical plug from the socket.

After removing the cause of the fault, wait for approximately 30 minutes to allow the vacuum cleaner to cool down. It can then be turned on again.
