New Miele production plant in ‘Sweet Home Alabama’
Miele's inaugural production facility in Opelika, AL marks the company's first venture into manufacturing in the United States. This plant is designed to manufacture premium kitchen appliances, exclusively for the North American market. The production setup is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024, with the initial focus on producing 30" ovens and Range cookers in successive phases.

With strong political and local support, we want to produce high quality products “Made in America”. Miele is dedicated to meeting the distinctive needs of American customers by producing tailored range cookers and 30-inch built-in ovens. Localizing production eliminates transportation from Germany, significantly reducing CO2 emissions. This local-for-local approach is the next step for Miele towards a more sustainable and resilient supply chain, providing customer with flexible and short delivery times.
