Powder detergent left in detergent drawer
There is powder detergent left behind in the detergent drawer of the washing machine. A large proportion of the detergent does not get flushed through during dispensing.
Powder detergent used in conjunction with water softeners tends to become sticky.
Clean the detergent drawer.
In the future, add powder detergent to the compartment first, and then add the water softener.
The detergent drawer is dirty.

Pull out the detergent drawer until a resistance is felt.
Press the release catch.
Remove the detergent drawer.
Clean the detergent drawer with warm water.
