A foreign object (such as a cherry pit or a small shard of glass) could be blocking the drain pump. The drain pump or non-return valve could be blocked.
Turn off the dishwasher.
Remove the filter combination from the wash cabinet.
Scoop the water out of the wash cabinet using a small container.
Press the catch for the non-return valve inward (1).
Tilt the non-return valve inward until it is released (2).
Rinse the non-return valve thoroughly under running water and remove any foreign objects from the non-return valve.
The drain pump is situated under the non-return valve.
Carefully remove any foreign objects from the drain pump (watch out for glass splinters, which are particularly difficult to see). Check the drain pump impeller by manually turning it. You will feel a little resistance when you turn the impeller.
Carefully reinsert the non-return valve and secure it with the safety clip.
If the process described above does not resolve the problem, start any program without the non-return valve and without the filter combination. Allow the program to run for approx. 10–15 seconds. This causes the impeller to rotate and removes any foreign objects that may be stuck there.
