Sensor controls oversensitive or unresponsive

The sensor controls are over-sensitive or are unresponsive.

The sensitivity level of the sensor controls has changed.

Make sure that there is no direct light (from the sun or from an artificial source) falling onto the cooktop. The area surrounding the cooktop must not be too dark.

Take any cookware off the cooktop and wipe away any food deposits.
Check that there is nothing covering any part of the sensor controls or cooktop.

Disconnect the power supply to the cooktop for approx. 1 minute.

If the problem persists after the power supply has been restored, please contact Miele Service.

On many Miele cooktops, you can customize how quickly the sensor controls respond.

For details of how to program your cooktop in accordance with your individual requirements, see the table in the “Programming” or “Additional functions” section of the operating instructions for your cooktop.

You will find the setting options for the sensor control response speed in the “Sensor control reaction speed” entry.

If the fault persists, please contact Miele Service or book a repair appointment online.
