Due to the high temperatures, discoloration inevitably occurs in the area of the burner.
Strong discoloration is particularly likely to be seen on aluminum components in the area of the burner. However, the discoloration of aluminum is perfectly normal in light of its properties and the high temperatures/significant cooking residues to which it is subjected.
Clean your cooktop with a soft sponge cloth and a solution of hot water and liquid dish soap. Alternatively, use Miele ceramic and stainless steel cleaner.
