Coffee grounds wet/coffee too weak

Clean the brew unit of the coffee machine once a week by hand.

Proceed as follows:

• Disconnect the coffee machine from the power supply.

• Open the appliance door on the right-hand side of the coffee machine.

• 

• Press the button on the bottom of the handle of the brew unit; see (1) in Fig. 1.

• Whilst doing so, turn the handle to the left; see (2) in Fig. 1.

• Carefully pull the brew unit out of the coffee machine.

• Clean the brew unit by hand under warm running water without using any cleaning agent.

• Wipe any coffee grounds off the filters; see Fig. 2, Fig. 3, and Fig. 4.

• Clean the brew unit with a cleaning tablet for degreasing using the Degrease brew unit or Clean brew unit maintenance program.

Set coffee quantity to medium level in the Quantity of coffee menu or select the factory default setting.

Manually set the grinder setting to the middle level in increments.

Open the lid of the chute.

Remove any ground coffee residue.

Close the ground coffee chute lid.

Close the lid on the right-hand side of the coffee machine.

Use a vacuum cleaner to remove any ground coffee residues from the bean container and the ground coffee chute.

In order to remove coffee residues properly from the coffee grinder channel, vacuum out the ground coffee chute once a year with a vacuum cleaner attachment (supplied where applicable).

Clean the ground coffee chute as follows:

• Open the appliance door and remove the ground coffee drawer.

• 

• Insert the vacuum cleaner attachment. Use the suction wand of your vacuum cleaner to vacuum out the ground coffee chute.

• Remove the attachment and reinstall the ground coffee drawer.

• Close the appliance door.
