The brew unit is not in its home position.
To move the brew unit back into its home position, proceed as follows:
Use your finger to press the latch; see (1) in Fig. 1.
Press the funnel down; see (2) in Fig. 1.
Push the connector to the left as far as it will go; see (3) in Fig. 1.
To re-establish the home position, then press on PRESS.
The brew unit can now be positioned in the appliance again.
