Miele Generation 6000 Dishwashers Offer More for Less

Miele’s new line of Generation 6000 dishwashers combine features that are not mutually exclusive concepts: low consumption, cleaning performance and gentle care of dishware.

It begins with a dirty dish—no pre-rinsing required. Once the dishes are loaded, several of the automatic programs require as little as 3.2 gallons of water for up to 16 place settings. Miele dishwashers achieve extremely low consumption rates through the combination of an electronically controlled commercial-grade pump and alternating spray arms. This alternates the water feed to the middle or the top and bottom spray arms respectively using varying pressure levels. Given the higher pump pressure, less water is in circulation at any given time, not only saving water but ensuring the thorough and gentle cleaning of dishware.

With this attention to detail, energy consumption is spared. Depending on the model, the new dishwashers achieve top performance values of 0.73 kWh for 16 place settings in the standard program, reducing consumption per place setting to an incredible 0.045 kWh.

Miele’s unique AutoOpen function serves a dual purpose for both performance and efficiency. This intelligent feature gently opens the door at the end of the rinse and drying cycle, allowing fresh air in. This cools the load faster and makes unloading the machine more convenient. Energy is saved due to a shortened program cycle and difficult to dry items, like plastics, dry even better using the room ambient temperature.
