Jan Heck Appointed as Chairman of the Board of German American Chamber of Commerce New York

Jan Heck, President and CEO of Miele USA, has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the German American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. New York (GACC NY), effective immediately.

With more than 20 years of leading business in North America, primarily in the kitchen and bath industry, Heck will bring his extensive business experience and connections to lead the chamber into its 75th Anniversary. As a member of the German American Chamber for many years, Heck has seen the growth and success of the New York Chapter.

“Promoting trade and investment between Germany and the US is becoming more important now than ever,” said Heck. “I’m very eager to continue fostering these relations and leading the Chamber into another successful 75 years.”

The German Chamber Network (AHK) provides experience, connections and services in more than 140 locations in 92 countries. This extensive international network offers activities and services to support business ties between the US and Germany.

In addition to his role as Chairman of the Board, Heck continues as a board member of the National Kitchen and Bath Industry and serves the President and CEO of Miele USA. At Miele, Heck oversees overall operations of the company’s consumer and professional use appliances and floor care products, as well as management of Miele Experience Centers across the US.
