I have been with Miele for 8 years. In that time I have advanced from
Territory Manager of the Mid-Atlantic to Regional Manager of the
Mid-Atlantic, South East and lower Mid-West. I lend my support to
a great field team and they lend theirs to me. We oversee floorcare
sales and distribution with our core business being the independent
floorcare retailer.

This team effort is also realized by our colleagues internally. We know
that we can count on every department to do their best to achieve our
mutual goals. As part of the Miele family I am very fortunate to work
with very passionate, committed professionals. The culture inspires
a driving desire for excellence while the atmosphere is truly one of
support. The growth opportunities are endless as we move toward
our next 100 years. This is a very exciting time to be with Miele and
I look forward to many more years as part of the family.

I first became acquainted with Miele when my Mum bought a Miele
washing machine. In January of 2000, I began working at Miele UK
as an intern in the Customer/Technical Service Department, which
turned into a permanent position. After 2 years, I was promoted to
Customer Services Team Leader, a junior managerial role combining
customer support and technical service skills.

My accomplishments at Miele UK helped my transition in the States.
Miele offers not only a great product, but the opportunity to interact
with different people every day, helping to acquaint me with the
American way of life. I am enjoying my progression with Miele
and I hope to continue to grow with the company.

I first heard of Miele while attending a job fair in April 2004. I’d been tied
to a desk for several years and felt it was time for a change. I was looking
for an opportunity to use my technical skills in a hands-on environment.
As I learned more, I began to appreciate the ‘Miele difference’. Working at
Miele represented an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art appliances
in a positive working environment. My initial training was comprehensive
and thorough. It was an opportunity to learn and grow.

After having been employed in the printing industry for 20 plus years,
I decided to start fresh in a new field. I visited the Miele booth at a
career fair and was surprised how well I was received.

Needless to say, I was hired in the Technical Support Department.
I didn’t have any experience in customer or technical support. After
training, I sat with a senior tech and he assured me that I would be
able to handle the demands of this new opportunity. Months went by
and he was right. I began to feel more and more comfortable. Now
I’m a senior tech helping to train new recruits. Once you work with
our appliances it is very hard to look at any others in the same light.

You learn that an oven is not just an oven it’s a way to enhance
someone’s life. Miele employees are similar to our appliances anything
but ordinary. We have a great sense of pride. The Miele experience has
truly enriched my life and given me a new start.

I joined the Dealer Services group in June, 1998. No two days are
alike at Miele, but in general my work duties include order placement
and tracking and the handling of specialty accounts within the
floorcare division. I’m in daily contact with sales managers and
vacuum dealers throughout the U.S., troubleshooting any challenges
that may arise. Interacting with a diverse client base in a fast-paced
environment is an ideal match for my personality and skill set.

I find that teamwork, communication, trust, creativity and friendship are
an important part of a successful company, and Miele has all of them.

Since my start, I’ve worked as a servicing technician (road tech), an
in-shop technician, a vacuum customer service representative trainer
in the Engineering Services Department and now Supervisor,
Call Center – Floor Care.

Working at Miele has provided me with an opportunity to work on worldclass
products, with professional people in a professional environment.
