Miele to Debut at Miami Art Week with “The Kitchen Muse”

In partnership with ELLE DECOR and Wynwood Walls, Miele blends the worlds of art, design and kitchen innovation through a first-of-its-kind interactive experience

Miele, the world’s leading manufacturer of premium domestic appliances, announces “The Kitchen Muse,” a bold pop-up that reimagines the modern kitchen as an artistic, interactive installation set against the vibrant backdrop of Wynwood Walls at Miami Art Week. Open to the public December 2 - 3, 2025, the sculptural kitchen layout highlights the deeply studied approach and expressive design of ELLE DECOR A-List architect and interior designer, Luis Fernandez, and showcases Miele’s leading appliances across coffee, refrigeration and induction cooking as the muse. The centerpiece of the kitchen is a custom art piece by internationally recognized artist Mikael B., who utilizes a Miele 36” MasterCool refrigerator as both the inspiration and the canvas, symbolizing the thought that beauty, creativity, and innovation can be found in our every day.

In partnership with ELLE DECOR and Wynwood Walls, The Kitchen Muse pop-up will be positioned at the heart of the Wynwood Walls Museum, the largest outdoor street art museum in the world, and an international destination for art lovers. The activation builds on Miele’s brand expansion in the North American market, particularly in the kitchen.

“Our customers are forward-thinking, design-oriented individuals who are looking for what’s next in kitchen design, alongside products that will last a lifetime,” said Catherine Grayson-Roper, VP of Marketing, Miele US and Mexico. “‘The Kitchen Muse’ and our partnership with leaders in interior design and art are intended to spark a conversation and put Miele at the center of a cultural moment.”

The kitchen design itself reflects harmony in nature. It is a dynamic yet playful sculptural element within the surrounding art park. Representing a beacon of light and reflection, the mirrored stainless steel and textured glass are set in striking juxtaposition with natural Verdi Alpi Green Stone, which both divides and unites the two sculptural forms, making them a functional kitchen.

“For me, Miele represents precision and innovation with an effortless beauty, ease and presence. That perfectly harmonious mix is what I wanted to capture. The appliances don’t want to be hidden, but fully displayed, and in a certain way, framed,” said Fernandez.

Rooted in Mikael B.’s abstract art style, the art installation unfolds through layers of acrylic and spray paint applied intuitively, building unexpected depth, motion, and texture. “The refrigerator becomes a fully customized centerpiece where precision engineering meets expressive abstraction,” Mikael said. “A palette of greens, deep blues, warm neutrals, earth tones, and touches of gold create harmony and sophistication while ensuring the piece stands out as a bold, showstopping focal point.”

The Kitchen Muse will be open from 11:30am - 6:30pm on December 2 and 10:00am - 1:30pm on December 3.

A curated schedule of programming will be offered throughout the pop-up, including live culinary demonstrations on Miele’s state-of-the-art 36” Induction Cooktop, and made-to-order espresso and coffee drinks from Miele Built-In Coffee Machines. On Dec. 2, an on-site illustrator will create personalized paintings for guests to take home from the experience, and the day will conclude with a custom mocktail happy hour.

The Kitchen Muse will be featured on ELLEDecor.com and in the March 2026 issue of ELLE DECOR magazine.
