Miele Partners with Architectural Digest to Unveil The AD Salotto Presented By Miele During Milan Design Week
Miele joins forces with design authority Architectural Digest for takeover of iconic Milan institution, Marchesi 1824
Miele, the world’s leading manufacturer of premium domestic appliances, has partnered with international authority on design, Architectural Digest, to co-host the AD Salotto Presented by Miele, a one-day takeover featuring curated programming, complimentary coffee and pastries, brand takeaways, and exclusive industry gatherings at the iconic Marchesi 1824 café on April 21, during Milan Design Week.
At the height of Salone del Mobile, Miele and Architectural Digest have transformed one of Milan’s most prestigious cafés – Marchesi 1824, located in the iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II – into a refined, design-forward hospitality experience. Long celebrated for its Italian heritage, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance, the Prada Group-owned café serves as the backdrop for a full day of immersive brand engagement with the global architecture and design community.

The AD Salotto experience will be open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Throughout the day, the café welcomes Milan Design Week attendees to enjoy complimentary coffee and pastries while engaging with curated design moments and programming.

The day will continue with further programming including an invitation-only lunch hour panel event on the evolving intersection of design, innovation, and contemporary living in kitchen design will be hosted by Amy Astley, in conversation with AD Italy Head of Editorial Content Asad Syrkett, AD100 Designers Adam Charlap Hyman and Sophie Dries, and Miele Executive Director of Marketing and Sales, Dr. Axel Kniehl. The day concludes with an invitation-only networking reception, convening industry leaders, global creatives, and key partners. The evening serves as a celebratory moment of connection and exchange, further strengthening Miele’s presence within the international design community.

In addition to AD Salotto, Milan Design Week attendees are invited to experience Miele’s “Designed to Move with You” exhibition at EuroCucina (Pavilion 4, Stand C07 D14, 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM) and visit the Miele Experience Center (Corso Garibaldi 99, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM) through Sunday, April 26. The exhibition is an immersive experience combining design, technology, and culinary culture to present a new vision of the kitchen as a space that adapts, evolves, and accompanies everyday life.
