CM5 Silence brews an even quieter cup, CM6 MilkPerfection creates coffee specialties with the perfect milk froth and CM7 CoffeeSelect holds a variety of beans

Miele, the world’s largest family-owned luxury appliance manufacturer, will be brewing up drinks from three innovative countertop coffee systems at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) 2022.

As the coffee culture continues to mature and consumers crave quality brews, Miele’s newly expanded line of countertop coffee systems allow users to easily prepare barista-quality beverages from the comfort of their homes. Miele’s CM5 Silence series offers the perfect entry-level appliances, while the CM6 MilkPerfection has the added bonus of creating outstanding milk-based coffee beverages and the CM7 allows users to rotate easily between different coffee varieties.

CM7 CoffeeSelect
The CM7 offers several useful features unique to Miele and includes its exclusive CoffeeSelect function, making it possible to select from three different bean types at the touch of a button. A conical grinder made from stainless steel grinds exceedingly quietly and gently, without leaving any residue behind. Further, the CM7 is Miele’s only countertop coffee machine with AutoDescale, a fully automatic self-descale program, and CupSensor which uses sensors to automatically adjust the height of the spout to the size of the cup, glass or mug.

The C Touch display, a smaller version of the M Touch control panel found on Miele’s large appliances, allows the user to select from one of the largest, most exquisite beverage menus, offering 22 coffee and tea varieties, ranging from Coffee Crema, Espresso, Cappuccino or Latte Macchiato to beverages like Long Blacks or Flat Whites. Additionally, it can also dispense hot water at various temperatures for making tea and features a TeaTimer to track steeping duration.

To enhance the overall user experience, this unit features a heated cup rest area. Miele also allows for 10 programmable user profiles, allowing each user to create their perfect drink by specifying the amount of coffee, water, milk, milk froth, and water temperature.

With the CM7750, it is easy for users to brew their favorite cup from their smart phone and the Miele@mobile app by starting the preferred program at any time so their beverage is ready and waiting. Also using the app, the user can check the appliance's maintenance status and view the availability of software updates.

The CM7 CoffeeSelect is available in Obsidian Black.

CM6 MilkPerfection
The CM6 MilkPerfection series prepares optimal beverages containing milk, as it doubles the milk frothing by adding two bursts of steam. This double Venturi process not only increases the temperature of the milk froth but also creates a particularly light texture. The choice of beverages available in the CM6 has been expanded to 20 varieties, including espresso macchiato, flat white and numerous tea varieties. Users can customize the quantities of water, milk and froth at any point during preparation to suit their preferences. Further settings, such as the quantity of ground coffee, water quantity, water temperature and pre-brewing option, can be stored – subject to the model – in four or eight custom user profiles. The CM6 can also dispense hot water.

This series also features an intuitive operation and even easier cleaning. For instance, the machine features a double tube, so it is no longer necessary to disconnect and reconnect the tubes when automatically rinsing the milk pipework. The first tube connects the milk container to the coffee machine, while the second is used for the rinse water. A glass milk container is included with specific models. For even easier cleaning, the milk container, drip tray, water container and waste container are dishwasher-safe. The brew unit on every Miele machine can be removed and easily rinsed.

By selecting from four preset modes, the CM6 MilkPerfection offers additional user convenience in operation. Operating the machine in the basic Eco mode is especially energy-efficient. In Barista mode, the heater element quickly brings the machine to the right temperature, while the Latte mode guarantees the shortest possible waiting times for coffee specialties with milk. Lastly, the Party mode optimizes preparation of a variety of different beverages as quickly as possible, with very few switch-on or interim rinses.

All models in the CM6 series are network-enabled through Wi-Fi. By using the Miele app and a smartphone or tablet, users can display the current cleaning status of the machine, start preparing a beverage remotely (via MobileControl) or control the machine through voice commands and Amazon Alexa. The Miele app also offers a BaristaAssistant, which guides users systematically through a tasting session to ensure that they get the perfect cup of coffee. These machine settings can be stored as a personal taste profile.

Colorways for the CM6 MilkPerfection include Lotus White, Obsidian Black, Lotus White CleanSteelMetallic, Obsidian Black CleanSteelMetallic and Obsidian Black BronzePearlFinish.

CM5 Silence
The CM5 Silence range of countertop coffee systems has reduced grinding noise by 50%.* Now, whether at home or in an office setting, users can more quietly prepare a fresh, hot beverage. Seven coffee specialties, from a simple espresso to a latte macchiato, can be prepared and dispensed at the touch of a button. The machines include the OneTouch for Two function that prepares two drinks at once. Users have the option of adjusting settings to suit their preferences, including the quantity of coffee that is ground and the water quantity and temperature. All CM5 Silence models feature a coffee pot function that produces up to six cups at a time.

The care and cleaning features include rinsing the milk pipework from the 1.3L water container – a process that happens automatically each time a milk-based drink has been prepared. The brew unit can be removed and rinsed, ensuring excellent coffee quality for the lifetime of the machine. Notably, the drip tray, water container and waste container are dishwasher-safe.

Colorways for the CM5 Silence systems include Obsidian Black, Tayberry Red and Rose Gold Pearl and AluSilver Metallic.

The CM5 Silence models ranges from $1,599 - $1,649. The CM6 MilkPerfection series ranges from $1,999 - $2,499. The CM7 system retails for $5,499.
