“Steam ready” indicator light flashes 8 times and “Water container empty” indicator lights up

Switch the steam ironing system off.

Adjust the steam ironing system to its highest working height.

Remove the residual water drawer.

Clean and dry the metal contacts in the residual water drawer.

Switch the steam ironing system on.

Reset the fault as follows:

Fill the residual water drawer with water and insert the residual water drawer.

Wait at least 20 seconds.

Remove the residual water drawer.

Empty the residual water drawer and dry it thoroughly.

Wait at least 20 seconds.

Reinsert the residual water drawer.

The steam ironing system is ready for use again and continues with the process that had been started when the fault was detected.

Please contact Miele Customer Service to order a new water filter.

Switch the appliance off and then back on again.
