The FilterBag change indicator shows that the FilterBag needs to be changed despite it having been changed only recently.
Something bulky has been vacuumed up (e.g., large leaves from house plants) and is blocking the suction wand. The casing gets very hot as air is unable to escape as required.
Disassemble the floorhead, hose, handle, and telescopic wand.
You can carefully push coarse particles which are jammed in the hose or in the telescopic wand toward the floorhead using a long object (e.g., a broom handle).
Items causing a blockage are usually easy to shake out of the handle.
The FilterBag change indicator does not refer to the volume of dust vacuumed, but to the extent to which filtration is still effective. If you have vacuumed up a lot of fine dust (such as drilling dust, sand, plaster dust, or flour), the fine filter pores of the FilterBag will be saturated before the volume of the FilterBag has filled up with more substantial soiling.
Replace the FilterBag to ensure that your Miele Vacuum Cleaner can provide the optimum cleaning performance.
