Re-Run Chili

Re-run your favorite sports game or movie and enjoy it with our “Re-Run” Chili! Whether it’s your favorite Super Bowl or an old Sports Classic Movie, this chili will be the perfect companion. Match it up with rice or baked potatoes, and you’re guaranteed a touchdown!

Recipe

Ingredients: 
1 Pound of cooked fat free ground turkey, or 4 cups of shredded leftover rotisserie chicken
Cooking oil 
1 Onion
1 Can of beans (kidney beans, white beans or black beans)
1 28 ounce can diced tomatoes
1 Can of diced green chilies
1 Can of corn
1 Package of boxed chili seasoning mix. Leave out the masa flour.

Directions: 

  1. Using a pot on the cook top, sautée a chopped onion in some oil. 
  2. Add the chicken or cooked turkey, a 28 ounce can of diced tomatoes with the liquid, a can of drained and rinsed beans, a can of drained diced green chilies, a can of drained corn, and all of the spice seasonings from a package of boxed chili seasoning mix.
  3. Simmer this gently until thoroughly hot, stirring often, allowing time for the spices to blend. Add some water to bring it to the consistency you desire and allow the dehydrated spices to revive.

Easy and fast! Serve with garlic bread, rice or a baked potato. Top off with your favorites, such as sour cream, shredded cheese, or avocado.
