    Dishwashers problems / suggestions
     1. The program does not start
Check that the power cord is correctly inserted and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Check that the door is closed properly and that the correct program has been selected and started.
     2. The appliance does not start immediately when switched on
Do not switch the machine off. Some Miele dishwashers are equipped with a water softener reactivation cycle which is automatically activated on program start and lasts approx. 10 mins. After this, the appliance then continues as normal.
     3. The inlet/drain indicator is flashing
Check that the water valves are opened fully or whether the water inlet hose is kinked. Check that the water inlet filter is not clogged and clean it, if necessary, as described in the operating instructions. Check that the drain pump is not clogged. This can be cleaned as described in the operating instructions. Reset the error message as follows: To cancel the error message, turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on again. If the fault message reappears, please contact our Customer Service.
     4. All indicators are flashing
Reset the error message as follows: To cancel the error message, turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on again. If the fault message reappears, please contact our Customer Service.
     5. "F.." appears in the display
Reset the error message as follows: To cancel the error message, turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on again. If the fault message reappears, please contact our Customer Service.
     6. There is a knocking noise in the cabinet
Check whether spray arms are knocking against an item in a basket. If the source of noise cannot be determined, run a program without plates or glassware. If the noises continue, please contact our Customer Service.
     7. Poor cleaning results
Clean your appliance as described in the operating instructions under "Cleaning and Care". If the appliance continues to produce poor results, please contact our Customer Service.
     8. The door cannot be opened
Check that the child-safety function is not activated. This can be deactivated as described in the operating instructions.
     9. The salt reservoir has inadvertently been filled with detergent
Do not switch on the appliance, as detergent causes serious damage to the water softener. Please contact our Customer Service for information on how to proceed.
    10. The inlet/drain indicator is flashing and an audible sound can be heard during drainage
Possibly there is debris in the drain pump. Please remove it according to the operating manual. You will find the proper instructions under the manual's sections "Problem solving" and "Cleaning and care".
    11. The fault message "F52" is indicated in the display
A sensor detected too much foam in the wash cabinet. The cleaning program has been interrupted. To erase the fault message, please turn the program selector to the "Stop/End" position or press the button "Start/Stop" for around 5 seconds, depending on the model type. Afterwards switch the appliance off and on. If detergent tabs are used, which already include the rinse aid, the function "2 in 1" should be selected. Please do not use detergent tabs in the program "Quick wash 40°C".
