A Unique Company Making Extraordinary Appliances

  Building on a Legacy
In 1899, founders Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann inspected the company's first series of cream separators as they exited the assembly line.

Today, the tradition continues as their great grandchildren carry out this important family ritual.

For over 106 years, Miele, the largest family-owned and operated appliance company in the world, has embraced its founders' belief that success is only achievable in the long term by being totally committed to the quality of its products.

Guided to this day by the motto "Immer besser," or "Forever better," more than 14,000 employees of Miele are motivated to produce products that are not only high performing, safe and easy-to-use, but also made to the highest quality standards and from the very best raw materials.

These ingredients are critical, for our mission is to create products that customers will enjoy for a lifetime of use with confidence and reliability.

Only thirty years after Miele opened its doors for business, we introduced the first electric dishwasher to Europe, a giant leap forward for such a young company.

From that moment on, Miele has been recognized as a worldwide leader in dishwasher development.
