Café La Semeuse has been roasted in Switzerland since 1900. In 1975, Marc Bloch--the third generation master roaster--met an American while on vacation and they became very good friends. Ten years later, Mr. Bloch dared to offer La Semeuse in the United States.
American coffee-lovers immediately embraced it. The success is due quite simply to its taste: exceptionally full-flavored coffee that's never bitter. This is the result of its signature proprietary roast.
Café La Semeuse has won awards and it has been served at The James Beard House (the "Carnegie Hall" of the culinary world) for more than a decade. It is available at only the finest specialty food shops (no supermarkets) and is now available online.
It is truly a coffee-lovers' secret....a secret now shared by each owner of the Miele coffee/espresso brewing system.
